Solana Network Status (Live)
Live Solana network status. Shows current slot, epoch progress, network TPS, and validator health indicators.
Metrics shown
| Metric | Source | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Current slot | getSlot | The latest confirmed slot |
| Epoch | getEpochInfo | Current epoch number and progress |
| TPS | getRecentPerformanceSamples | Transactions per second (vote + non-vote) |
| Block height | getBlockHeight | Number of confirmed blocks |
| Slot time | Calculated | Average time per slot in milliseconds |
How to read the data
TPS (transactions per second): Includes both vote transactions (validator consensus) and non-vote transactions (user activity). Non-vote TPS is the more meaningful metric for application developers.
Epoch progress: Each epoch is approximately 2–3 days. Staking rewards are distributed at epoch boundaries. The progress bar shows how far into the current epoch the network is.
Slot time: Target is 400ms. Actual slot times vary with network conditions. Consistently higher slot times may indicate network congestion or validator performance issues.
FAQ
What does “network healthy” mean? The network is producing blocks at a normal rate, slot times are near 400ms, and no significant validator issues are detected.
Why does TPS fluctuate? TPS depends on user activity. During high-demand events (token launches, popular mints), TPS increases. During quiet periods, TPS drops. Vote transactions provide a baseline that is relatively constant.
